Committee Description

The Education Committee aims to inform economic development professionals about current trends, best practices, and innovative solutions in the industry.

Duties of Committee Members

As a member of the Education Committee, you’ll have the opportunity to: 

  • Plan and Organize: Help design and execute professional development programs, including workshops, webinars, and conferences. 
  • Curate Content: Cultivate a network of distinguished industry experts to speak at educational events and contribute to educational resources. 
  • Support Scholarships: Assist in reviewing applications and awarding scholarships to deserving professionals. 
  • Engage Members: Promote awareness of educational, certification opportunities, and mentorship programs to enhance the development and expertise of our members. 
  • Ensure Accreditation: Support efforts to meet conference accreditation and professional development recognition eligibility requirements.

Meeting Times

The Education Committee meets monthly on the first Tuesday from 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM via Zoom to discuss ongoing projects, plan upcoming events, and review scholarship applications.
