Committee Description

The Marketing Committee promotes Oklahoma’s growth by strategically partnering with economic development partners from across Oklahoma to market the state, attract investment, and enhance brand visibility through key events, showcases, and partnerships.

Duties of Committee Members

As a dedicated member of the Marketing Committee, you will directly contribute to: 

• Increasing Oklahoma’s Visibility: Maximize Oklahoma’s visibility by planning, promoting, and participating in strategic events such as Hotel Zaza, Select USA,  site selection consultant meetings, regional conferences, and in-market consultant hostings. 
• Strategic Marketing Leadership: Collaborate with the Oklahoma Dept. of Commerce and Oklahoma Business Roundtable to implement a robust marketing plan that showcases Oklahoma’s unique competitive advantages and attracts targeted investment. 
• Consistent Brand Stewardship: Develop, maintain, and evolve a compelling brand identity and messaging strategy, including engaging digital content, to advance Select Oklahoma’s mission.
  
• Boost Member Impact: Strengthen economic professionals by delivering specialized marketing training and fostering collaborative partnerships that boost member impact.
• Targeted Industry Promotion: Create and deploy innovative marketing materials, including video series and one-pagers, to promote statewide efforts and Oklahoma’s economy.

Meeting Times

The Marketing Committee convenes monthly via Zoom on the second-to-last Friday from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. to strategize, review progress, and coordinate upcoming marketing initiatives.
