Committee Description

The Membership Committee strategically enhances Select Oklahoma’s growth by cultivating member benefits for economic development professionals through focused professional development, relationship building, and advancing the organization’s core mission.

Duties of Committee Members

As a member of the Membership Committee, you’ll have the opportunity to: 

  • Strategic Membership Growth: Develop and execute plans to strategically expand Select Oklahoma’s membership base, including targeted outreach and recruitment. 
  • Professional Development and Certification: Innovate and lead professional development programs with the Education Committee, including the development of an Oklahoma Economic Development Certification, to enhance member skills and career advancement.
  • Member Engagement and Retention: Foster meaningful relationships and ensure long-term engagement through onboarding, networking events, and satisfaction surveys. 
  • Mentorship and Talent Development: Create and implement a mentorship program and develop a talent bank to leverage member expertise. 
  • Membership Management and Operations: Oversee membership onboarding, application review, marketing, and strategic planning support.

Meeting Times

In 2025, the Select Oklahoma Membership Committee will hold quarterly virtual meetings on the following dates.   

  • February 28, 2025  8:30 AM 
  • May 30, 2025  8:30 AM 
  • July 25, 2025 8:30 AM 
  • November 17, 2025 8:30 AM
